Our season opener was a wonderful opportunity to hear from an amazing panel of experts and activators. Mark Irvin from Best Buy, Sri Zaheer, Dean of the Carlson School at the University of Minnesota, and Paul Campbell of Brown Venture Group, discussed the challenges facing minority communities but also the opportunities that exist if we start with relationships. Moderated by: Roshini Rajkumar, Executive Crisis Coach, Roshini Multi-Media.
We can repair communities by investing in and working with communities. Much of what is being done is leadership training to help connect to one another within diverse teams. One hard hitting question was regarding white guilt. The resounding response was that the panelists feel that guilt has no place and can get in the way. Commitments to relationship are key. There will be many follow up podcasts to keep our finger on the pulse of diversity investment.
